The second fall event – from October 28-31 – took place over Halloween weekend. Located near Denton, NC, Camp Walter Johnson (Salvation Army Camp) is a familiar venue to our guild. Only a little over an hour’s drive from “home,” it offers a large gathering room for us to spread out. A whole wall of windows let in light, nature, and the lake view. At the camp, our rooms are in one or more lodges, and our meals are provided by the staff. The description and photos below, as well as additional retreat photos were provided by Lisa R.
What a wonderful retreat we enjoyed at Denton in late October! The beautiful fall leaves were there to welcome us and we had a great time sewing and getting to know each other better. We loved having our meals prepared so we could focus on our fellowship and projects.
The Saran ball game continues to show the competitiveness in our group…sew much fun. They say that what happens at retreat stays at retreat…I’m just saying…it ain’t necessarily sew!
Enjoy the pictures and come join us next time! – Lisa R.
